Our OCIA/Adult Faith Formation is not just for those who want to become Catholic! Join us on Sunday mornings (9:30, Marian Room) to discover the truths of our Catholic Faith–whether you are just starting out in learning about the Faith or have been a lifelong Catholic. Many Catholics have had poor instruction in our own faith, which is one of the reasons people leave the Church. Or we find ourselves at a loss to explain it to others. This is your opportunity to learn for yourself or be a mentor to others in the faith. Our process of Catechesis is “handing on” what we have received, as St. Paul said. Join us!
ADULT FAITH FORMATION
Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA): Are you interested in becoming Catholic or in growing deeper in your Faith? In our process of Adult Faith Formation, our focus is on formation of faithful disciples of Jesus Christ, who are called to be members of his Church family. We provide fellowship, spiritual guidance, and instruction for those who want to grow in their understanding of who Christ is, and why he invites us to be in his Church. Also, we provide instruction for those who are preparing for their Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Holy Communion, and Confirmation). We serve those who are just starting out on their faith journey, those who are returning to the Church, those coming from other Faith Traditions, and even lifelong Catholics who want to grow in their own understanding and faithfulness. We meet on Sunday mornings, at 9:30 a.m. (between the Masses). For more information, contact Barbara Miller, 703-342-9157.
